About Chhota Imambara :

According to ancient times, Chota Imambara’s architecture can be seen at its absolute best. The third Nawab of Awadh was built in 1838; this place represents the cultural symbol of Panjetan, which can be seen in the structure of this place, having five main doorways, two halls, and a Shehnasheen platform. An Azakhana is a large green and white-bordered hall decorated with beautiful chandeliers and crystal glass lamp stands. Due to all these embellishments, this place was known as the ‘Palace of Lights.’ These chandeliers were specially imported from Belgium. Beautiful Islamic calligraphy covers the outer walls of the building, showcasing Quranic verses. Chhota Imambara houses the tombs of Muhammad Ali Shah and his family.
